HEy, I need help agian.. I finaly got my xbox to let me flash the tsop, so I did that and got evox installed but now when i put a copyed game in evox says that it is unknown.. but origanl games and memorex cd-rw's work.. AH! I have tried sevral difrent brands of dvd+r's and have had no succes. At first I thought it was because my bios wasen't new enough are something so i went and re-flashed the tsop with the M7 bios, and it still is doing it. I even got the latest version of evox! urrr nuthing is working.. It's going on four days that have been messing with this dumb xbox lol.. oh and by the way it's a 1.3v xbox.. so i don't think that there should be any compatiblity problems with the dvd drive.. cause I have another xbox that is a modded 1.0v xbox, and it plays all my backups fine.. I have searched the forums for this problem but only came up with a couple topics on it, and none of them realy helped me. So if anyone knows whats going on B)

1.3 = samsung, samsungs dont liek +R, you have to burn it a certain way so it reads like a -R, check the backup forums for details <

hopefully your burner is dual format,my samsung wont boot a dvd+r hardly at all <

Try using Ritek DVD-Rs, excellent discs on all Xboxes, even fussy Thomsons.

Brand names using Ritek G04 dye include Arita, Datasafe Media, Ridata, Ritek and Traxdata.

Don't bother with Datawrite, regardless of what colour the top is. Most of them use a Princo or similar dye and many Xboxes hate them. <

My Samsung drive likes HP branded DVD+RW's... not that it's much help

Not sure if I remembered correctly, but I read a while ago that the problem with Samsung's and DVD+R could be the book type setting. Some DVD burners would allow for the book type setting to be changed which increased compatibility with DVD readers.

Like I said, not sure if this is correct, just vaguely recalled that bit of information.

Actually, that is correct.... I've verified it. It's book type settings on samsungs ability to read DVD+RW (and Nero usually defauts to burn iso's with the proper settings). <
