All points verified with a multimeter.

What device type does it give you?

Obviously as your points are soldered correctly and you haven't removed or shorted any nearby resistors, it won't say...
CODE
UNKNOWN DEVICE Read Only??? manf=0x09, dev=0x00 Try adding the device to your raincoat.conf

Instead it'll say...
CODE
UNKNOWN DEVICE Read Only??? manf=0xMM, dev=0xDD Try adding the device to your raincoat.conf

where MM is the manufacturer code and DD is the device code.

Instead of MM and DD, what's it telling you?
