QEMO Windows 98 Sound Fix!
by Salvage13 (windows for xbox kit is hosted by RY)

Currently there are two common distributions of QEMO flowing around the community. The first distrib is the original one (can be found here), the second one is a stripped one from PSPHACKER.COM which can be found here.

If you have the original distribution, jump to step 2.

PSPHACKER.COM KIT ----------------------------------------------------

STEP 1: Right click "start.bat" and click edit (if you don't have that option, just open it up in notepad). It should say "Windows for xbox kit by m.e" somewhere in teh text. Now make it look like this:

STEP 2: Launch Windows 98. Once at desktop, click start, settings, and then control panel. Now double click "add new hardware", press next, and next. Now select "No, the device isn't in the list" click next, select "yes" and next. Windows should detect the sound card after the scanning is done (you'll see some files being copied after its done). It will ask you to restart, but again click no as its a fake restart and it will stall. Click start, Shutdown and then restart from there.

You will be greeted by the windows logon sound, enjoy!

[Your system properties should look like this now]
