I mean, most people posting on here likely have a computer or access to one with windows on it... Why would you ever want to put it on your xbox? I mean, is there any advantage to it?

is there any sense NO.. whats the point its a cheap game machine.. not a PC.. thats what its built for.. if you have an xbox then your 99% sure to have a pc..

One of the reasons why i want to run windows on xbox is .. caz if put a pc in car it needs an EXPENSIVE power supply and if i wont use a special power supply and use an dc to ac converter its not very effecient. If i put a xbox in the car it will need a power supply that will be much easier to build. I will be able to play dvd and games as well. and if it will have windows i will be able to run navigation and GPS software as well. I will also be able to make a system with wireless network and will be able to download address book and much more automatically.

so u can install any thing u can install on a pc on the xbox like aol or diablo 2 or what ever u whant

good luck trying to actually run aol or diablo 2(no clue why u want to play diablo 2, the game is old, go play some newer games, they're a lot better) decently...
u have to remember, the xbox is several time slower than today's computers... (yes i know it meets sys req. for both apps, but still...)
i would think that even if u could run windows, the individual apps would prob. screw up.... the only apps u could run would be word processors and simple email clients... which can be just coded individually for the xbox, instead of porting windows

i used those game as a ex. but if u can install stuff like that there seems 2 be no point in doing it but thats just how i feel

Whoa.... I want my xbox to have GPS! How is this done? Any threads i could read?

Basically can't be done, unless you want to spend the rest of your life writing a driver and program to control it.
