There must be some way to flash Winbond through Evox.
If you find it please post it here.

I'm not sure on 1.0 & 1.1 but, it was mentioned earlier in one of the pinned articles that if you bridge the 2 points on top and the 1 on bottom, you can use evox to flash the bios.

I havn't actually done so, as I wouldn't want to use evo-x for quality purposes.

The winbond only has the chip erase command, whereas EvoX only supports the Sector erase command. And hence  will not suport the Winbond chip.
Use raincoat. it supports it.

Yes, I know Winbond chip can be flashed by Raincoat, not by Evox, by now...

I post this to invite those Evox genius guys to create some add-on to make it possible, Flash Winbond Chips by Evox, as it does with ST and other bios.  <

Hmm.....

My friend owns a v1.1 box with the 1meg TSOP, and he flashed using EvoX, after soldering the needed points and booting with audio exploit.  hmm...  As for me,  I just got my XBOX recently and will probably flash the TSOP soon.  Hope his method works for me.  <

No.

There's also nothing stopping anyone from creating an embedded Linux that automatically starts raincoat with the right parameters and then call that from a menu entry in EvoX.

SO true Troed.
After all with the existing (modded) bios in place even the 007 Hack can be called from the EvoX dash by linking to the .XBE.

yeah raincoat will try to erase the sector... if it cant it does a full erase

evox only does sector erase.. and until evox supports it (theyre lazy for stuff like that) u wont be flashing your winbond

and maybe sharp too i cant remember  <

Yeah lordvader129
I linked Linux to Evox also, but is there any way to execute the raincoat flash from Evox without a PC connection?  <

yeah, if you launch the linux from evox the video output works, so you can type in the commands with a USB keyboard rather than telnetting  <
