There must be more than bridging the two top jumper points to enable read/write for the onboard Bios.  I have tried both the top and bottom, together and one at a time.  I have seen other points necessary for Sharp brand Flash Bios chips but this is an ST M29F002BT Flash on an Xbox 1.4 it looks like.  

Does anyone know of any other solder points (detailed pics would be good) necessary to enable write mode for the TSOP?  I am using the 007 hack and raincoat .501,

I am getting unknpwn device, could your bios be write protected errors tring to write the EvoxM&7 bios.    Raincoat or Evox sees the Bios at: 0x09 and I read that is the first block of every Xbox bios, meaning I am still in read only mode.

So, I don't think the conf file is the issue at this point since the block of memory seen now, is the read only part from what I gather (0x09).

For an Xbox 1.4 or 1.5, Where else on the motherboard needs to be modified to enable write access to the BIOS?  again, its an ST M29F002BT Flash, maybe something specifc to these chips?

99% percent of the time when u get unknown error, its because the points arent bridged correctly.  What i do is i have 30 gauge wire and bridge with that, works perfect.  But, i'll give u some pics anyway (you only need to do the 2 top points):

tried everything but kept getting same error but after 8 hours on a ten min job found out problem the code in raincoat needing upgrading in config file to make it possible if you look in your config in raincoat and it looks like its fine but its is not so add this to config and it be fine                                        Flash = 0x20B0,"ST M29F002BT",0x40000     hope this helps  <

Good update.     I researchedand found there is a second jumper set on the top of the motherboard that needs to be bridged under for some BIOS chips.  It seems with the ST M29F002BT Flash chips you have to also solder the other points below.  

For the record I only have the two top sets of jumpers bridged, on an XBOX 1.5 with a ST M29F002BT Flash BIOS.  This is a successfuly config, and I was then able to backup and load my EvoxM7 256k Bios via Raincoat 5.01 and the 007 hack.


Another tidbit I picked up on the way may be useful to others:

Initially, I was getting the "Error 21" Your Xbox requires service when loading the 007 Gamesave from a "Hip Hop Gear" Action Replay memory card.   Before giving up on the exploit, I tried and ordered a MS Xbox Memory card.  Success.  I guess 3rd party brands of Xbox memory cards somehow "strip" some important bits off the card so the exploits don't work (Perhaps a hardware signature on the HipHopGear or Action Replay memory card that looks for and breaks all of the known exploits?)

no, I had to do both sets of points, this is not true for must flash chips, but it is on ST M29F002BT Flash BIOS chips which is on some XBOX 1.5s.   I tried with and without, two points ARE necessary for these boxes.
