Couldnt ya also just scrap the trace a bit to get enough to attach a bead of solder and wire too both ends?? Just a thought...not sure how bad the points are

ok so if you cant follow them (the traces) then why not just GENTLY scrape off some of the coating on the traces so that the metal is exposed....do this on both traces, then simply take a wire and jump the 2 points.

so instead of using the solder that was already there(which you have removed) you would just be jumping the points on the traces themselves...

PS-- You would need somewhat decent soldering skills I would assume to do this

Why?? If you are attempting to TSOP flash...just follow the TUT and jump the 2 points (1 on top, 1 on bottom)
