I would go with you got a solder splash somewhere that is shorting out the system and givin ya the FRAG  <

Or something shorted and erased the TSOP  :(

Do you have a chip you can throw on it to reflash the TSOP? That is what I would try next (such as a Matrix)  ;)   <

ok guys,

i have done lots of xboxs so far, i lost count :)

and today i had a pretty new xbox from september, so i bridged those jumpers,
and the xbox frags when its turned on, never had this before, even after removing the solder from the jumpers, it keeps fragging, any idea what might have caused this?

its an conexant chip, and i soldered the top only, so i didnt even removed the motherboard,

this is one fucking big surprise  :(

May be you took somthing off the board.It happend to once.I took off one of there lil resister without knowing.Took me  a few day to find out what i did and fixed it.....I was glad that i got it to work....
