By the way .. version 1.2 will *extract* data from .MUS files ?

Or convert the .MUS files to .WAV/MP3/OGG/etc audio formats ?

If it can convert the .MUS files to any audio format directly it'll be awesome :)

Not exactly sure what v1.2 will have.  All depends on what info I can find and how long it takes to code.

yup i used the xwb extractor on the eatrax file found in burnout 3, it manages to extract the wma files but the wma files are not playable in windows media player or any other programs so how do i go about solving this problem

Works fine for me with Winamp and Windows Media Player.  Maybe you don't have the latest version of Windows Media Player?

The files extract for me but only 000.wma will play. The others don't.
I've tried WMP 10, Media Player Classic and XBMC, they don't work in any.

Could this be a codec thing maybe? I have the K-lite Mega Codec pack installed...

I'm having the EXACT same problem as you.

Both with the _EATrax0.xwb and _EATrax1.xwb will extract the wma's but only 000.wma will play

I'm assuming it's a bug in the extracting program itself?

What version of my program are you using, and what game are the data files from?

1.1 and burnout 3

My system is an Athlon XP 3200+, 1gig ram, Windows XP Pro, if any of that info helps at all.

Progina, you made a pretty solid program and I really appreciate it but I think there is a bug.

After playing around with it a little more, if I uncheck the 000.wma file and extract the rest, 001.wma will work. If I uncheck 000 and 001 and extract the rest, 002 will work. Etc.

Basically, the first song it extracts is the one that will play. Maybe you can fix this pretty please? :luv:

Hi, I have extracted all the music from Jade Empire using your program, but the files it extracts are in .adpcm format. I have tried playing these in wmp and winamp, but they won't work. I've also tried downloading codecs and trying to convert them to mp3, but that also doesn't work.

What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

I also just like to add that I downloaded and installed the Xbox ADPCM codec and the files still won't play! ARGHHHHHH.

Could someone help me extract the soundtrack for this awesome game?

progina,

i was wondering if you could provide me with a little feedback on converting the pcm files.  you said there were "programs out there", i'd like to know if you have any suggestions.  i googled and converting from pcm seems a little complicated.  much of what i've found said you need to know what the bitrate and all is before converting.  any help is appreciated.

thanks.

to be a little more expanded, if need be, i could email you the xwb that i'm trying to extract and work with.  just let me know.

Just a quick update for progina. Game is Jade Empire.

Progina, I was gonna let you see this just to make sure it wasn't a bug in your program.

When I look at the dump info, almost all of the files are listed as:

---------------------------------------------------------
Flags: 0x00000001
     Format Tag: 2 (WMA)
     Channels: 2
     Samples/sec: 44100
     Bits/sample: 1
     Value: 0x8015888A (2148894858)
     Play Region: Offset 0x00000000 (0)
     Play Region: Length 0x00369AFF (3578623)
     Loop Region: Offset 0x00000000 (0)
     Loop Region: Length 0x00000000 (0)

Wave Bank Data: Segment 1, Entry Meta-Data 1
----------------------------------------------------------

Although, a few files are listed as:

----------------------------------------------------------
Flags: 0x00000001
     ADPCM conversion
     Format Tag: 1 (ADPCM)
     Channels: 2
     Samples/sec: 22050
     Bits/sample: 0
     Value: 0x000AC449 (705609)
     Play Region: Offset 0x090DB000 (151891968)
     Play Region: Length 0x00029D18 (171288)
     Loop Region: Offset 0x00000000 (0)
     Loop Region: Length 0x00000000 (0)

Wave Bank Data: Segment 1, Entry Meta-Data 80
-----------------------------------------------------------

On the left, 85 files are found, listed as 000.adpcm-084.adpcm and these are the only files that are extracted, even though WMA (Windows Media Audio) files are found in the dump info.

Question is, is it somehow picking up but not extracting the WMA files, and if so, how can I play these .adpcm files? Tried Xbox ADPCM codec and still will not play in any player. Thanks.

I'm brand new to this and can't find anything on the subject:
When I open an Xbox cd in my computers' dvd drive, all I see is this VIDEO folder that, I would assume, houses that intro video telling you it is an xbox cd.

Where do I find these .xwb files or anything else for that matter?

you need to copy the game disc to your xbox and then ftp them onto a folder in your computer, that is where you will find all your files

hi guys,

I just registered here because it seems to be a cool community. I also tried to get the ssx3 music for years, but it is really difficult. I extracted the *.big file and came out with *.mpf and *.mus files. THe *.mpf seem to be some kind of link/header for the *.mus files. I tried Game Audio Player to play them, but I did not have any luck. Does anyone know how to convert/play those files?

P.S.: The SSX3 TraX are hot!!!!
Thx in advance!
