Need Help With Hdd_driver

I'm following the no-modchip hotswap/evox tut.  I'm at step five. I've hotswapped the drive, it is detected on my BIOS and XP, and I ran HDD_Driver.  I got the infinite "invalid file name" error loop. There were no files showing on the HDD_Driver screen. SO, I followed the Lord Alderon "fix" where you sector edit the HD and change FATX to .... and then ran HDD_Driver again. This time, no error boxes, but still no filenames showing on the HDD_Driver screen.

What do I do now? I want to backup my drive (Step 6) and continue on the tut... many thx.
