Tsop Flash 1.4/ 1.5 Soldering Points?
« on: December 14, 2003, 05:07:00 PM »

My gf's little bro got a new xbox made 10.7.03

I am pretty sure its v1.5

Anyway can anyone show me pics of which points to solder?

I have the 4979 repack, which version should I use? .67 or .06?

The two different versions of 4979 refer to how you want to allocate space OVER 137gb.

If your going to use a hard drive smaller than 160gb, ALWAYS use 4979.67 or you may have problems when booting a smaller drive with data already on it.

If your drive is 160gb or higher, then it's up to you.  4979.67 will create a 137gb F: drive and then allocate the rest of the space to a G: drive.  4979.06 will allocate all the space to 1 big F: drive.  If you already have a drive with data written to it, always use 4979.67.

Well I didn't see this post so I put .06 on it.

Anyway he was also getting a new 80 gig hd so there were no problems with that either.

Thanks guys.

PS Should I reflash it with .67 for future compatability?
