I finally get XBGM to work on Mac OS X.
Yes i recently buy a Powerbook G4, and i really did wish to see XBGM on OS X.

As i expect, i didn't have to make any change to XBGM# code.
The hardest and long part is to install gnome and undestand how fink work.

Hopefully, i will be able soon to distribute fink package to easily install gnome. Like gimp do it.

The Gtk# compilation is quite simple. No problem at all.
When compiling XBGM# i was pretty scare, but it went smootly.

I add a news on the web site, and i add screenshot.

I hope Mac users will apprecieted.

Hello,

I will release xbgm 0.9.0 soon which include many new features.
I would like to make sure it works fine before release it. So can you test it!!
To do so:
1- Unpack the archive (i wil send you) and launch a cmd.exe or a shell
2- Get in the directory where xbgmsharp.exe live.
3- launch "xbgmsharp.bat" after check mono path.
4- If you see text, it is ok.
5- start again using this command line:
xbgmsharp.bat > debug.txt 2>&1

If it crash send the file 'debug.txt' by email [email protected]
With that file i will be abble to fixed the problem.

Feel free to ask if you have any question.
So i let you discoverd the new features and tell what you think about it.

Send me an email,  and i will send you the test version of the day, to be sure they will have no bug declaration in double.

Is there any plan to implement xiso creation via ftp or from local directory as in QWIX?  I would love to see this because I run linux and would like an all inclusive xbox game management solution.  Maybe you could borrow code from extract-xiso for this purpose?  If not, I will just continue using extract-xiso for iso creation separately.

Thanks,
jeremy

New release XBGM# 0.9.0.6:

* Update Gtk-sharp depedency from 2.0.0.0 to 2.4.0.0.
* Update monoLaunchW to make XBGM# work with mono 1.1.13.x.
* Rewrite Ebuild (thanks to Nicke).

Update FAQ
I release only the zip binary package xbgmsharp-0.9.0.6.zip.
XBGM# 0.9.0 is build with Mono 1.1.8.x and Gtk-sharp 1.9
XBGM# 0.9.0.6 is build with Mono 1.1.13.x and Gtk-sharp 2.4

Sorry there is no plan to implement xiso creation via ftp or from local directory.
But if you wish to we can work on it together.

hmm, this seems like an awesome program. Unfortunately, I can't get it to work. I installed the debian package and everything looks like it installed fine, but the program starts with an error:

CODE

** (xbgmsharp.exe:10216): WARNING **: The following assembly referenced from /usr/share/dotnet/xbgmsharp/xbgmsharp.exe could not be loaded:
     Assembly:   gtk-sharp    (assemblyref_index=1)
     Version:    2.0.0.0
     Public Key: 35e10195dab3c99f
The assembly was not found in the Global Assembly Cache, a path listed in the MONO_PATH environment variable, or in the location of the executing assembly (/usr/share/dotnet/xbgmsharp/).

** (xbgmsharp.exe:10216): WARNING **: Missing method Init in assembly /usr/share/dotnet/xbgmsharp/xbgmsharp.exe, type Gtk.Application

Unhandled Exception: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object

Anyway, I was wondering if there was a way that I could fix this?

Hi,

In order to resolve you problem, you need to download the last version know as xbgmsharp-0.9.0.6.zip DL HERE

Then replace the binarie include in the archive by the one install with .deb

Sorry about that i did not rebuild deb package to use the new version of mono.

I recently get back Internet after i moved so now i start working back on it.

Hello Kayaweed,

I just installed XBGM# 0.9.0.7 for the first time. The installer isnt making any xbgmsharp.bat file so I had to make that myself with help of your faq, I guess thats a bug in the installer. I installed mono-1.1.15-gtksharp-2.8.2-win32-0.exe so I'm using your application with mono 1.1.15. Now for my real problem: the application starts and i can connect to my Avalaunch dashboard fine, all the ftp replies are there in the Log view window, it finds all games in my F:/Games/ dir there. The SITE TITLES F:/Games/ command gives an 150 outputline for every game on the xbox harddisk, the SITE TITLEIMAGES command just gives 200 Command okay reply.  BUT after it is done I get a Error popup stating: "No Game in directory F:/Games/" and the Manage Titles On Xbox window stays empty. Do you have any idea what is the problem here? Thanks for any reply.

Hi,

I notice the bug on Manage Titles On Xbox window that stays empty.
But the error msg "No Game in directory" is due to a check in a directory where there is really no game.
Are you sure there is only "F:/Games/" in the preferences?

Also you are right the installer doesn't generated xbgmsharp.bat file if you don't install mono.
i will fix it.

I will make some test, and i keep you in touch by tomorrow.

Thanks for reporting
