great start to a cross platform gui!
get this thing closer to all the qwix functionality, and add compressed iso's, and the ability to upload apps...
and we have the winner!

I have yet to be able to get this to run even after installing the Windows installer from there: http://www.mono-project.com/downloads/index.html .

Pretty troublesome so far, I tried editing the BAT file because my programs install in D: not C: so my BAT now looks like this:

CODE

@ECHO OFF
SETLOCAL
SET PATH=D:\Program Files\Mono-1.0.1\bin;%PATH%
SET MONO_PATH=D:\Program Files\Mono-1.0.1\lib
SET MONO_CFG_DIR=D:\Program Files\Mono-1.0.1\etc
"D:\Program Files\Mono-1.0.1\lib\mono.exe" "xbgmsharp.exe" %*
ENDLOCAL

rem mono xbgmsharp.exe

Now the GUI loads up but the "insides" are just a grey box and I get see this mesage in the console (forgive typos it would not let me copy and paste):

CODE

Compat mode: the request from D:\Program Files\Mono-1.0.1\lib\mono\gac=glibsharp\1.0.0.0__25e10195dabb3c99f\glib=sharp.dll to load Sstem was remapped (http://www.go-mono.com/remap.html)
Unable to laod image-loading moduel: C:/Mono-1.0/lib/gtk-2.0/2.2.0/loaders/libpixbufloader-png.dll: THe specified modeul could not be found.
Warning: Unable to open conf file. File 'xbgmsharp.conf' not found

Any help would be appreciated because Qwix always locks up for me.

Well thanks for using xbgm#
You try xbgm# with the mono-1.0.1.
i found a bug in the setup release wich is why there is no more file release.
So you did the right thing about editing the batch file.

But since there is a bug in mono setup you need to edit  2 more  files:

C:\Program Files\Mono-1.01\etc\gtk-2.0\gdk-pixbuf.loaders
C:\Program Files\Mono-1.01\etc\gtk-2.0\gtk.immodules

replace "C:/Mono-1.0" to "C:\Program Files\Mono-1.01"

then it will work.
You will notice that there is no more setup release file.
I will put a mirror of the mono-1.0-gtksharp-1.0-win32-0.4.exe file on my sourceforge web site.

How do I go about building this for OSX?  do I need anything more then Mono, i.e. gtk, to use it on a Mac?  I could never get qwix to play nice under Virtual PC, so this would be great for my powerbook, when at my friends' houses. If I do suceed in building it, do you want me to send you a binary to put on source forge?

EDIT:

Just realized the second required download link on you site is help with mono, not more support files.  I try to figure it out on my own.  If I can't I may be back.
