Getting This To Work On A New Xbox
« on: December 10, 2003, 08:33:00 AM »

my brother is getting an xbox for xmas.  it will probably be one of the holiday bundle packs so i'm assuming it will be a v1.4 or 1.5

I have my own xbox that is modded with a chameleon, i want to mod his without using a chip.  Which method should i use so that it will boot evox when the xbox is turned on?

If possible i would like to avoid soldering.  A link to the correct tutorial would be great.

oh and one more thing...will i be able to use Slayer's Auto Installer 2.5?

works the same for a 1.4/1.5

it requires a little bit of soldering, but its not hard, or you can use a conductive pen, but its much better than font exploits and stuff

anyway, once youve jumpered the points, if you have 007:AUF or mechassault and memory card get the save from xbins (get the raincoat one, just in case the new xbox has a winbond chip) and load it on your modded xbox, use the MS dash to transfer the save to a memory card and put it on the unmodded box, load the save, telnet, and flash

if you dont have access to 007 or MA pop your chameleon in his xbox (im assuming you have the solderless adaptor?) and load an evox cd (slayers works fine) so you can FTP a font exploit for the dashboard, with the font exploit you can load evox, then the minilinux ffor raincoat and flash

once flashed you can use slayers to install evox and apps and whatnot
