QUOTE (thebud9999 @ May 30 2004, 09:55 AM)
I get the same 503 error no matter what game (rar or iso) I try.  I have attempted splinter cell 2 and tiger woods 2004.  Here is the error log from tiger woods:

Extracting <blah> to ftp://192.168.0.8/F:/games/<bleh>

There is no F:/ on your xbox. Try /f/games/whatever. This depends on the ftp server / dash on your xbox - login with any ftp client to see what the dir should be.

And thanks for the bug reports folks, new version coming "real soon now"®©™ - the xiso < 1.10 workaround is b0rked and causes lots of problems wink.gif

Good to hear development continues ughugh.

I saw the announcement of the new craxtion 4.0 and figured it would finally do everything, including extracting from rar.  Turns out it does, but its hella buggy and bloated - makes suxx look absolutely perfect in comparison.

oh btw just transferred Morrowind with no troubles at all.

Great work ughugh,
This app solves a huge part of my xbox game storage issues...
How do I keep 100+ xbox games without taking up too much space?
Rar them of course...

Second, the Name...
This app does anything but suck...

Finally,
I do a lot of modding, and I did get tired of adding all the files that I wanted to the list by hand, so I wrote a script that will import all the files in a folder or list into the queue.  It was a cinch because you did such a great job on the shortcut keys...

You can get the script here: GetGamesList.vbs
Alternatively, you can take a look at the source to make sure I am not doing bad things with it: GetGamesList.vbs Source

Run it with a /? for help, or feel free to send me an email...

Sorry about the second post guys...

That script will also save/load a list of files from a folder to a csv file so that you can edit the destination dirs in Excel.

For some reason, my router is not being very nice, so you can also get the script from here if the above link is down:

GetGamesList.vbs

Thanks again for the great app ughugh.

First, let me say ignore all the negative comments.  QWIX is by no means perfect, I've had many bad experiences with it, and it doesnt offer any truely unique or outstanding features.  SUXX is by far the most useful app I've seen put out to date.  Saves disc space for those who archive, saves a good deal of time not having to extract it to an iso that youll only delete after you've sent it.  I do agree its not the most userfriendly app but its still new.

The only feature I feel its lacking is auto directory naming on the ftp.
Add that, and this prog would far surpass the rest.

As far as errors.  It seems there is still work to be done with linking.
The following games did not trasfer successfully:
     The.Warriors.PAL.MULTI5.DVD9.XBOX-WAR3X
     James_Bond_007_From_Russia_With_Love_Usa_Xbox-RiOT

The Warriors would start and just say disc is dirty.
James Bond refuses to start (Black Screen)

Keep up the great work!  I hope to see more releases in the future.

I've made an xiso extraction tool, it does rar&iso->ftp directly, no need to extract anything to hd first. Probably needs some testing before a public release, so feel free to try it out and post bugs here.

Win32 only - grab it from:

edit: xbox-hq has kindly provided hosting for SUXX, official web page is now

http://suxx.xbox-hq.com/

Current features does NOT include:
file name length checks
xbe patching

But it should be quite usable anyways :P

If you really want to post feature requests you can of course do so, but it's the extraction engine that I'm mainly interested in getting tested.

And yeah, the time remaining bug is known :boring:

Think http://www.swixsport.com/. See the icon (yeah, yeah, idea shamelessly stolen from the ski folks). I figured it suited the app well. And, yes, it is of course a variation of the name of QWIX :)

This thing has been on my drive since sometime before summer this year. For validity of my claim, check:

http://www.nadox.se/xfer/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6

As for undermining him, well - seems like QWIX is written in Delphi too, the obvious idea would of course be to merge the SWIX code into QWIX. SWIX code will be released as GPL, but I figured having it tested first might be smart.

dont take my comments as anything negative or flaming or anything trying to put you down, people making competition and great programs is a good thing, taking names so close to existing tools to maybe try and ride some of the success off the existing tools isint a good thing.

Stop this rip-off..
U wana make ur own iso extraction, fine... Keep Qwix out of it!

Qwix is unique, and no1 will ever make anything half as good.. So stop trying!
