Hdd_driver, Atapwd, Unlock?
« on: November 03, 2003, 10:38:00 PM »

okay, i've already searched for this for a long time so please don't give me the 'check the tuts or search before posting'.

here's my problem. my hd won't boot on my xbox anymore. my xbox boots up, but no screen, just blank. i was using an enigmah chip, took it out and was using a audio hack softmod. no problems. all of a sudden it stopped working. i had another post on this, but no one replied. a friend suggested restoring my drive. so i'm attempting to fix my hd.

hooked it up to my pc, ran hdunlock...unlocked it okay. disabled okay. checked it in atapwd, everything was fine. booted to windows. when i opened hdd_driver, got the 'invalid filename size' or whatever error. just went ahead and made a hd backup (9 gigs). when i try to view it in either hdd_driver or fatx, it will either crash or not open.

also, i do already have a backup of my xbox C drive. i made it into a iso file and tried to view it in fatx. wouldn't let me.

now i rebooted my pc, and went into atapwd again. it won't let me access my drive. i have a minus under F. my drive is frozen now? what does this mean?

basically, i have a copy (old original xbox c) and i want to restore it onto my hd. how do i go about doing that with either hdd_driver or fatx? and will my drive bieng 'frozen' affect anything? it is still unlocked.

please, i haven't had my xbox in 2 weeks now. kinda freaking out...thanks in advance.
