I kno i should search, and i have, but i havent found a complete easy guide to TSOP flashing a v1.5.
Here is what i have:

1 xbox unmodded v1.5
1 xbox modded v1.0 with matrix and 120gb hd
1 computer with duel boot mandrake linux v9.1 and windows ME
1 memory card
1 (if needed i can go rent 007 or mech assault)

i dont want to solder at all, i would rather find an easier way. i had messed up a friends xbox because of removing a trace and bought him a new one, and then later fixed it. lol, so i have had bad expiriences.

if someone has a good link or a really easy discription, it would greatly be appreciated.

also how big is the tsop chip on a v1.5 xbox? because the m7 evox bios is only 256k how do i get it to fit if the chip is bigger?

it is 256K.  if you have a winbond tsop use raincoat, else evox.

u need the M7 Bios (evox)

flash the tsop with your favourite method

ftp the hacked save or whatever to your modde xbox...

copy the save to your memory card..
load the game (007/mech assault) on your unmodded xbox
(oh yeha ur gonna have to bridge 2 or 3 tsop points to make the flash writeable)

then load the save and flash away

lets say i get evox dashboard running in it because of the hack, from evox can i flash the TSOP??

Yes, that's what I do.
I use 007savewithraincoat (the usual places), updated with raincoat 0.501 (see my signature below), copied via a cheap memory card (www.amazon.co.uk) and booted using 007:Agent Under Fire (www.amazon.co.uk).

im trying to do the mech assault hack and i got to evox and i tried to flash bios and it said "unable to write" i checked the evox.ini and my model number of the chip wasnt there. this is my number: HY29F002TT-90

what should i do?? i did bridge the 2 points but still didnt work. thanks, pyro88

I just did this last weekend.  I was getting the same error, use raincoat 5.01 instead of evox and the m7 bios and it will go smoothly.

i downloaded raincoat and went to linux and did make and it wouldnt work, got some errors, is there anyway to use the mech assault installer with evox i have right now?

i bridged the two spots with small piece of foil and tape. i even held it down when trying to flash.

then it says

!! Flash Not Writeable !!

is there any other points i need to bridge?
please help me

that might be really usefull to you for checkin chip id's are in the evox ini file and bios id's.

with raincoat if you updated then open your  raincoat.conf file see if your chip is listed here is what is in mine

With no problems  
As long as the chip
"IS NOT" a Windbond w49F020T
Otherwise it dont work. YOu have To Use Raincoat!!
